Sound Circle Center offers the course for teacher development program, based on three principles:
– Artistic, experiential practice is the foundation of developing the new capacities we need as adults.
– Our development as individuals is a collaborative journey including students and faculty alike.
– The proving ground of learning is in the classroom, where we can observe, interact and practice with mentors and peers where we can make mistakes and learn from them.

BE THE TEACHER YOUR STUDENTS NEED MOST! Earn a graduate-level certificate to teach in a Waldorf High School.

The Waldorf High School Teacher Education Program (WHiSTEP) is a part-time course spread over three consecutive Julys. In addition to the three summer intensives, students undertake two years of independent studies including a research project and internship in a Waldorf high school, leading to a certificate in high school teaching recognized at any Waldorf school around the world.

Sound Circle Center now offers two tracks in our Early Childhood Program, one for in-service teachers and one for pre-service teachers. Ours is a robust program, which more than meets the minimum requirements of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN).

Emergency Pedagogy with Bernd Ruf and Vocational Training in Artistic Therapies to Alleviate Suffering

The Center for Anthroposophy recently-formed Kairos Institute (Karine Munk Finser, Director) is dedicated to developing pathways for training in artistic therapies. Bernd Ruf, founder of the Parzival Schule in Southern Germany, will help launch a new training with the first module in his five-day course on Emergency Pedagogy.
