Torin Finser will visit Alaska and do a combination of recruitment and sample weekend that would “count” towards the program for those who enroll. On Saturday, March 19, he will offer A Call to teach: An Introduction to Restorative Practices at the Anchorage Waldorf School.

A school’s organizational culture—including how it approaches recruitment and retention of faculty and students from commonly marginalized and minoritized populations—has a significant impact on its financial sustainability. Through the lens of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion concepts, this workshop explores how decisions are made and who makes them, while also examining emergent strategies, power structures, and cultural assumptions.

The five temperaments can help us to build a bridge, especially in these challenging times, when there is a great lack of understanding towards the other and society seems divided. We will examine the 4 classic temperaments, choleric, sanguine, phlegmatic and melancholic, and discover their power in the fifth temperament.

The Eurythmy Spring Valley Ensemble has been working on the beginnings of an evening program and also a children’s program. Come to see a mixture of these pieces, as well as several solos.

CENTER FOR ANTHROPOSOPHY OFFERS INTERNATIONAL ONLINE EXPLORATIONS PROGRAM

As part of its offerings in foundational studies, Center for Anthroposophy (CfA) is expanding its online Explorations program to include participants from around the world.

Registration is now open for our third round of Explorations Online. This foundational course––conducted “live” to allow for active conversations–is designed to offer a meaningful and practical way for students to deepen their understanding of basic anthroposophy and the arts, while at the same time exploring contemporary issues in our schools and today’s society.

Waldorf education is uniquely positioned to bring healing and strength to young people and those who care for them. And yet, in order to be effective as agents of healing, Waldorf schools need to have effective Waldorf teachers.

In light of this need, the Center for Anthroposophy (CfA) is launching a new cycle of its “Explorations” program with specific emphasis on Waldorf high school education.
