Sunbridge’s Summer Series is a longstanding tradition within the Waldorf community. For decades, Waldorf teachers and leaders from across North America and beyond have chosen our summertime weeklong professional development courses to help them prepare for their upcoming year; other individuals register for our weeklong introductory courses to learn more about Waldorf education and perhaps embark on a Waldorf career of their own.

In our never-ending search for ever better ways to serve our community, and based largely on feedback we receive from the previous year’s participants and instructors, each summer we make improvements to our Summer Series courses. For 2023, we’ve increased our offerings, lengthened some days, added some electives, and expanded our comprehensive, complimentary archive of teaching and learning materials. As always, all our Summer Series courses consist of self-contained classes taught by highly experienced professionals (both lead and subject instructors). Each provides ample opportunities for community-building with fellow course participants and includes copious resource materials in our Google Classrooms which remain open and available all year.

In 2023, we are pleased to be offering Approaching Grades 1-8 and Collaborative Leadership in real-time, virtual classrooms. Introduction to Waldorf Early Childhood Education will be offered both virtually and in person, and Phenomenology, a new course on teaching middle school science, is being presented by Gary Banks in person. Scroll down for dates and stay tuned for details. Registration opens later in January.
