Venus and the Foundation Stone

Every eight years, the planet Venus makes five retrograde loops that appear to form a pentagram around the earth–a geometric form long-associated with sacred mysteries. The current Venus cycle began January 8, 2022, and culminates January 6, 2030, at Epiphany. Mary Stewart Adams will lead us through the significant dates in this current cycle, which in culminating in the year 2030 marks the fulfillment of a 100-year rhythm from 1930, and the decade to which Rudolf Steiner pointed in describing the greatest mystery of our time: The Reappearance of the Christ in the Etheric.

Mary Stewart Adams is a Star Lore Historian and the host of the weekly public radio podcast The Storyteller’s Night Sky. In 2011, she established one of the world’s first International Dark Sky Parks, and in 2021, published the book The Star Tales of Mother Goose. Mary met the work of Rudolf Steiner simultaneous to encountering ancient star wisdom in the 1980s, which was galvanized into a life path through encounter with astrosopher Hazel Straker in 1995. Mary serves on the board of the Great Lakes Branch of the Anthroposophical Society.
