Spacial Dynamics® is an activity of the human being in space. Space can be moved, just as the body can be moved.
When we begin to learn to move space through flexibility of mind we live more fully as human beings in the world. We can support our own healing processes, integrate reflexes, and become more resilient to life’s stressors. Through Spacial Dynamics® we discover that there are forms and dynamics that exists in nature which can support and heal us. We can reconnect with these natural forms and dynamics (such as, the spiral, the vortex, the point) in a way that we can initiate them as movements in and around the physical body. These spacial movements enhance and hone our physical movements.
In this way, our movements allow us to be free and to connect to the world around us. With the integration of space and movement, Spacial Dynamics® supports the vitality and other natural life processes of human beings.
Kate Hammond began studying human movement in the UK in 1994, graduating with a Level 1 certificate in 1999 from the Institute of Spacial Dynamics®. She completed her trainer’s certificate (Level 3) in 2022. Since then she has taught Spacial Dynamics® and Bothmer Gymnastics in various settings.
