WITH THE MUSCIAL DIRECTOR CHRISTINA PORKERT AND STORYTELLER LAURIE PORTOCARERRO

Saturday, February 3rd at3 pm at Camphill Village Copake
Sunday, February 4th at 4 pm at Mettabee Farm & Arts

A group of lyre players (children and adults), other interesting instruments, and singers will perform the songs. The melodies are traditional Celtic and Hebridiean island tunes that were scored for voice and lyre accompaniment by music therapist and composer Maria Schueppel. This music has a healing and harmonizing effect for both listeners and musicians.

The story is a famous legend from Irish mythology and tells of the four children of King Lir. He was the ruler of the paradise-like land of Tir-nan-Oge. His children were in charge of the elements: wind, water, fire, and the earth with its plant and animal worlds. But as always in fairy tales, evil interferes… and is eventually overcome…

COME AND ENJOY!
