…AT ST. JOHN’S… AN ONLINE PRESENTATION BY MARY STEWART ADAMS

In one of his annual lectures on the Mystery of John and the Cycle of the Year, Karl König made the statement that “every year the great festival being of the year has a new countenance and it is up to us to see it, to learn to behold and to understand it.” He made this statement in mid-summer, out of his keen sense that at St. John’s a unique opportunity presents itself for the soul that seeks the Being of the Year.

For this presentation, Mary Stewart Adams will describe the star picture presenting itself at various moments in the course of the year 2022, and how it may inform our engagement with the significant centenary years in the history of anthroposophy.

Recommended but not required, Mary’s talk on “Venus and the Foundation Stone” for the Chicago Branch on March 25, 2022.

The Mystery of John lectures may be found at the Karl König Institute.

Mary Stewart Adams is a Star Lore Historian and the host of the weekly public radio podcast The Storyteller’s Night Sky. In 2011, she established one of the world’s first International Dark Sky Parks, and in 2021, she published the book The Star Tales of Mother Goose. Mary met the work of Rudolf Steiner simultaneous to encountering ancient star wisdom in the 1980s, which was galvanized into a life path through encounter with the astrosopher Hazel Straker in 1995. Mary serves on the board of the Great Lakes Branch of the Anthroposophical Society.
