Springtime presents a wonderful opportunity to participate in the growth and development of the plant world. We will observe and study plants during the workshop and pay just as careful attention to how we can learn to be with the phenomena. How can we see their living qualities? In what ways can we see plants as expressions of their environment and the seasons?

Our interactions with nature will become ever healthier and support a productive co-evolution of humanity with the natural world when they are based on a deeper understanding of nature. Can we truly see and experience nature as dynamic, interconnected, and whole? Our work will include careful sensory observation and just as careful attention to how we can learn to be with the phenomena we are considering in an alive way. Space is limited.

We will provide a morning and afternoon snack. Participants can bring their own lunch to eat at the institute or go out to lunch (the midday break will be 1.5 hours long). Hawthorne Valley Farmstore and the Philmont Co-op are both good nearby choices to buy lunch. Since we will spend a good deal of time outside and walking to different areas, please plan and dress accordingly.

Fee (sliding scale): $100 – $400.

Please pre-register by April 25 by emailing Kristy King at info@natureinstitute.org or calling (518) 672-0116 between 8:30 and 12:30 weekdays.
