Pfeiffer Center Biodynamic Course

A SPIRITUAL AND SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO FARMING AND GARDENING

In thirteen full-day workshops from September to June, our one year part time practical training in Biodynamics covers the basic principles and timely activities of biodynamic agriculture through the seasons. In the classroom, Mac Mead, and expert guest faculty introduce and explain Rudolf Steiner’s spiritual science, the foundation of biodynamics, in the context of Steiner’s “Agriculture Course” of 1924. Gardening techniques are demonstrated and practiced along with making and using the biodynamic preparations.

Tuition

Creating more access to our workshops is important to us so we offer two payment options for your convenience as well as scholarships and discounts.

Full Registration: $1475 tuition

Payment Plan: $1500 tuition, paid in four installments of $375 (1st payment due upon registration, remaining three payments automatically deducted monthly for 3 months).

Scholarships: We offer scholarships on the basis of need and prioritize BIPOC and LGBTQ+ access. Scholarships may also be available through the Biodynamic Demeter Alliance (BDA) application process.

Certificate & Credit Information

A certificate of completion is awarded upon completion of all sessions and a project. Participants in this course are eligible for workshop participation credit in the Biodynamic Farmer Foundation Year program of the Biodynamic Association. Threefold Community Farm cooperates with colleges and universities offering credit for internship programs or work on special projects. It is the responsibility of the student to secure credit from the college.
