Come on Thursdays in April (4, 11, 18, 25) from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Philmont Community Center to learn how to make simple and complex marionettes out of fabric and wool. Each class will get to practice manipulating different kinds of marionettes, learning how to make them jump, lay down, greet each other, and play. A short fable will be enacted at every session to warm up the puppeteering skills and then get to puppet building. Each participant will be able to take home their own finished puppet at the end of the workshop series.

There will be a nutritious snack each week as well!

Please email with any questions and to register. This is a collaboration between the Philmont Community Center, Flowering Heart Homestead, and Free Columbia.

The cost to participate is a sliding scale of $0-$200 for four sessions and all materials. Please fill out a contact and registration form for your child and make all checks out to Free Columbia.
