WITH JOHANNES SLOENDREGT FROM DORNACH, SWITZERLAND

Friday 21st – Saturday 22nd of July 2023
Friday 7 – 9 pm
Saturday 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Saturday 2 – 4 pm

Nature offers us an endless variety of structures, forms, colors, fragrances, and sounds shaped through living beings, through time, gravity, and other influences. Everything has been composed in the
most beautiful way. Nature can be seen as a wonderful artist. Still, in our hearts, we can hear a call for transformation. What is it that we can give to nature?

In a playful and intimate dialog with our surroundings, we can create something completely new and surprising. Land Art is about creating together with nature.

We will work in little groups or alone. We will look at the history of Land Art and let ourselves be inspired by great Land Artists, by the surrounding nature and by our imagination.

* This workshop is for everyone including children. Small children should be accompanied by adults.
* Registration not required
* Donations welcome
* Lunch break on Saturday: Bring and share what you like
* Different parts can be attended independently, but the workshop is structured as a whole
* Wear outdoor clothing according to the weather. In case of heavy rains, an alternative program will be offered in the church.

Johannes Sloendregt is an architect and a sculptor, practising both professions. His projects take him to France, Germany, Italy, China, Taiwan, Scotland, and America, but his main field of activity is in Switzerland.

“Sculpture is complementing architecture in the most beautiful way:
What we need is a new sensitivity to forms and space and a new
relationship to nature.”
