Form drawing is a centering and focusing activity that brings clarity and balance to our thinking, awakens our observational abilities, and cultivates precision for the fine motor skills of our hands. It is an antidote to the ills that are created through the use of screen technology and is a key ingredient in the healing aspect of Waldorf education.

This week-long workshop is for teachers and parents who want to develop their form drawing skills and experience the health promoting, inner strengthening potentials of this art form.

Patrick Marooney met Waldorf education in 1974 through two Waldorf teachers who had a puppet theatre collapse on them mid-show. He trained full time for two years at Rudolf Steiner College, then took a class through the eight grades at Eugene Waldorf School from 1984-1992. He was the woodworking teacher at EWS for 23 years and also taught core courses with Waldorf Teacher Education Eugene for 25 years. He has been with BACWTT since 1997 teaching sciences, form drawing, and geometry, and is a visiting teacher and mentor in a number of Waldorf schools.
