Eurythmy for the Advent Season

“Now the twilight of the year
Comes, and Christmas draweth near.
See, across the Advent sky
How the clouds go drifting by.  

Earth is waiting, wrapt in sleep,
waiting in a slumber deep,
Waiting for the sacred birth
Of Christ, who made both heaven and earth.”

The mood of winter takes us into the intimate spaces of the soul. In this cycle, we will take a step deeper into the heart of language with a study of the Vowels, the profound archetypes of our inner being. Then, continuing into the mood of the season, we will immerse ourselves in eurythmy for sacred poems. Each lesson will include the eurythmy practice of “Halleluiah.”

In developing a Personal Eurythmy Practice, we learn movements that bring harmony to body, soul and spirit. These help us become authentically grounded and peaceful, whereby we access the true forces of health These in turn are essential qualities to strengthen our forces of resilience.

Pre-Requisites: None, Beginner Friendly

All classes are offered freely, but you are encouraged to participate in our energy exchange. In acknowledgement of the widely varying financial situations of all people, there is no fixed price for this work, but we suggest a donation of $10-$30 for each eurythmy and each lecture class ($40-$120/series).
