SEVEN ONLINE SESSIONS WITH LOIS MACAULAY
An Online Course Sponsored by Chicago Program Initiative
This workshop is a unique opportunity to learn how to bring the planets and their forces into our own organization. Seven sessions with Lois will help you connect to the seven planets through seven planetary gestures and planetary sounds.
Man is the cosmos with planets in its miniature version. This workshop series is for those who would like to bring cosmic order and harmony into their soul, body and spirit.
OUTLINE: EURYTHMY PLANETARY GESTURES AND VOWEL SOUNDS
7 Saturdays from June 21 until August 2, 2025
Duration: Each session for 1 hour 15 minutes plus Q&A

- June 21, 2025, Session 1: MERCURY
Discovering the high intelligence of Mercury, how this force makes its appearance in daily life and the central role of the vowel I.
- June 28, 2025, Session 2: VENUS
Feeling the loving beautiful nature of Venus that is enhanced through the eurythmy gesture and in the welcoming vowel A.
- July 5, 2025, Session 3: MARS
Activating the energy of Mars in the dramatic gesture, its power to warm enthusiasm, and the healthy boundary-building capability of E.
- July 12, 2025, Session 4: JUPITER
Embodying the radiant generous wisdom of Jupiter in the eurythmy gesture, in the experience of love as wisdom and in the warm surrounding force of O.
- July 19, 2025, Session 5: SATURN
Exploring the earnest side of spiritual development under the stern gaze of the initiate and the narrow stream of U.
- July 26, 2025, Session 6: SUN
Expanding the heart, charging the capacity for spirit presence, in the radiance of the Sun and the complex dramatic vowel sound AU.
- August 2, 2025, Session 7: MOON
Reflecting on the gathered intelligence of the planets we studied, deepening the whole in the quiet poetic presence of the Moon and the soothing diphthong AI.

Lois Macaulay is currently the eurythmy teacher at Rudolf Steiner College Canada’s Waldorf Teacher Training programs. She began the eurythmy training at Eurythmy Spring Valley school in 1978, and transferred to Nuremberg in 1980. After graduation, she joined the performing stage group under the direction of Margarete Proskauer, where she also helped with costuming and stage lighting while learning professional performing.
She now lectures and leads study groups through Anthroposophy in Toronto, Canada. Last year’s podcast series on Atlantis with Grant Davis is soon to be followed by a series on Lemuria, available at Anthroposophy in Toronto’s website.
