BUILDING BRIDGES THROUGH SOCIAL ART OF BIOGRAPHY

AN ONLINE INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP with Karen Gierlach and Kathleen Bowen of Center for Biography and Social Art

You are warmly invited to meet people from different countries and to explore common ground around building community. You will have the opportunity to share life experiences, thoughts and feelings around our theme and to listen deeply in small groups of 3. We will aim to meet heart to heart, while putting aside judgment and assumptions.

Meeting and listening to each other across borders and divisions, you will be able express support and understanding and thereby contribute to a more peaceful future.

The session will be facilitated by Kathleen Bowen and Karen Gierlach, who have both served on the Board of the Center for Biography and Social Art (biographysocialart.org), based in the United States.

“A healthy social life is found only when, in the mirror of each soul, the whole community finds its reflection, and when, in the whole community, the virtue of each one is living.” ~ Rudolf Steiner

Karen Gierlach attended Waldorf Schools in both Germany and England. After attending Emerson College, she spent 25 years teaching and working in the U.S. Waldorf Schools. Once retired, she began offering biography workshops to Waldorf and anthroposophical communities in the U.S., the Middle East, China, and Mexico.

Kathleen Bowen holds a certificate in Biography and Social Art. She is one of the founders of the Center for Biography and Social Art, and currently a faculty member.  She also knits, a lot, in Northampton, MA, USA.
