Celebrating the Life and Works of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Community members of all ages are invited to join us for this extraordinary event that will take place at Hawthorne Valley School on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
Offerings include:
3:30 pm in the School Hall
Musical offering by Gregor Simon followed by a presentation by Alex Forrester on
Beloved Community ~ Dr. King’s Epistemology of Love for adults and children of 12 years and older
3:30 pm and 4:00 pm in the Morning Star Kindergarten
The Story of Hambakahle ~ An African Wisdom Tale of love and service presented in silk marionette theater followed by children’s activities for those who are 5-12 years
4:40 pm
Community Choral Singing for all ages led by Dr. Simon Frishkoff
5:00 – 6:30 pm
Community Pot Luck
