Artist Talk by Melissa Kraft

Melissa Kraft’s paintings are created using many layers, a way of working that connects to her sense of the spirit, and relates to layers of understanding. Kraft’s paintings are full of windows and doors, symbolic entries and exits into our world and other worlds. All of her work is created from her spirit, her sense of connection in the world, and her sense of joy and life.

Melissa Kraft (www.melissakraft.com) has exhibited her work throughout the United States, and in Canada, Poland, Ukraine, and Greece. Her images evolve from dreams, nature, and ancient tales, combining abstract figures and colorful, sweeping landscapes, inspired by the experiences that fill us with wonder.
