Drama and Speech were always meant to be together, and the art of acting is the sister of the art of speech formation. Every time we speak, our spoken word is colored by the soul gestures that begin as invisible movement within and around us. Drawing largely on the work of Michael Chekhov, Laurie Portocarrero will lead explorations of the world of gesture that underlies our speaking.
