TWO TALKS BY ANDREW WOLPERT
- Monday, September 23th, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at Windy Hill
Space, Time, and the Here and Now: Awakening to the Task
The enormity of world events challenges our apparent powerlessness in the face of so much inhumanity. As part of our preparation for Michaelmas, awakening to the immense potential in our unfinished human evolution, we can affirm our confidence and courage for the future. Rudolf Steiner’s pioneering spiritual research and visionary achievement as an artist also serve to awaken us to our tasks to collaborate socially and creatively.
- Tuesday, September 24th, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at Mettabee
Only from Us on Earth…
The Michaelmas Challenges Posed by Rudolf Steiner’s Last Address
Navigating a course of integrity in life depends on not being overwhelmed by fear, hatred, and doubt. These all too human inclinations are part of our earthly existence, waiting to be engaged with and transformed. Such transformation leads not just to better understanding who we are in this world, but to knowing, here on earth, something of the greater cosmic reality of our unfinished human evolution. Only from here on earth can we begin to respond with what Michael is waiting for.
Andrew Wolpert has worked internationally as lecturer and course leader in the fields of Art History, Shakespeare, Parzival, Christology, and other anthroposophical themes. He led the “Spirit of English” course at Emerson College in England, was co-editor of the Golden Blade, and led the English Course at the Freie Hochschule in Stuttgart. He coordinates the Humanities Section of the School of Spiritual Science in Great Britain.
