TWO LECTURES WITH EUGENE SCHWARTZ LIVE ONSITE AND VIA ZOOM
Lecture One: The Way There (10:30 am – noon)
Although Rudolf Steiner was not the first spiritual researcher to discuss life and death in relation to reincarnation and karma, his efforts to place those teachings in a Western context are unique. In this first lecture, we will explore the experience of death and the first steps taken by the human soul after crossing the threshold of the spiritual world. What is the relationship of those on earth to the one who has died, and how does the newly excarnated being find its way into the vastness of the cosmos?

Lecture Two: The Way Back (1:30 pm – 3:00 pm)
In this lecture, we will learn of Steiner’s even more remarkable revelations about the soul’s descent into a new life. This journey will give us more insights concerning the relationship of the heavenly Hierarchies to human destiny. We will learn about the role they play in crafting the karmic confluence of heredity, environment, and gender that sets the stage for the drama of earthly incarnation. As we emerge from the world of pre-Earthly life, we may gain insights into the challenges and confusion of our time.
Eugene Schwartz: In addition to his thirty-five years of experience as a class teacher, high school teacher, and educator of Waldorf teachers, Eugene has served as a consultant to Waldorf endeavors throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, England, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Ecuador, and Turkey. Over the past decades, he has worked in this capacity with over one hundred twenty-five schools, including public schools in the New York metropolitan region and Waldorf charter schools across the country. For nearly a decade, Eugene was a co-worker at the Fellowship Community in Chestnut Ridge, NY, where he worked with the elderly and those approaching the threshold of death.
