AN ONLINE PRESENTATION BY CHRISTINE SUMMERFILED
Come and learn the history of the Madonna Series and discover the many mysteries behind it. Explore how to take it up in your own life as a meditation and a source of soul-nourishment and inner development.
During this evening, we will observe the movement of the Child in the arms of the Madonna throughout the sequence, and experience the enlivening properties that live in the form of the Pentagram. And we will explore the practice of how to look at sacred art with openness, wonder, and devotion, as a portal for divine conversation.
The sequence will then be presented in a contemplative setting, accompanied with lyre music by Dorothea Altgelt. Join us as we find ways to integrate these healing images into our daily lives.
Christine Summerfield discovered the Madonna Series many years ago, as a young mother, in Vancouver, BC. Since then, it has awakened in her a deep love for the mysteries of esoteric Christianity and the Divine Feminine. She has been active in the world of anthroposophy since 1991, as a mother, Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher, Simplicity Parenting coach, and Art Instructor for the Gradalis Institute.
She now spends her time writing nature stories and poems for children, teaching needle felting classes, and creating her own paintings out of wool. She has self-published three children’s books, including The Secrets of the Dandelions. Her other interests include reading, biodynamic gardening, festivals, eurythmy, astrosophy, and travel.
