AN ONLINE PRESENTATION BY RAFAL NOWAK
As we follow the course of the formal calendar, our inner life – our soul – goes through a series of specific movements, gestures, and metamorphoses. These movements and gestures between “I and the world” culminate around four cardinal points of the year: summer and winter solstices, and spring and fall equinoxes. We will take a look at this archetypal cycle of the yearly life of the soul and its relationship to four cardinal Christian festivals: Ascension, Christmas, Easter, and Michaelmas.
Rafał Nowak was born in Krakow, Poland. He has lived in the United States since 1999. Rev. Nowak studied at the seminaries of The Christian Community in Chicago and Stuttgart. He was ordained in 2015 in Stuttgart, and has since worked with congregations in Darmstadt, Germany, Sacramento, Los Angeles, and currently Denver. Since 2019, he is the director of Camp Tamarack, a summer children’s camp of The Christian Community in Sierra Nevada. Since 2022, he has been a visiting priest at the Christian Community affiliate in Austin, TX. Rafal is married and has three children.
