AN EXPERIENCE OF FIBER TRANSFORMATION WITH CHRIS MARLOW
Come to the Fiber Craft Studio to experience the transformation of natural fibers. Spindles are among the earliest human tools, and as woven textiles developed, spinning became an integral part of the rhythm of life for thousands of years. While it is no longer required, spindle spinning remains an archetypal activity, adding creativity to our knitting, crochet, and weaving projects. It is meditative, requires focus, and brings great satisfaction. In this four-session course, we will spin with animal fibers, primarily wool, strengthening our skills, and experimenting with different breeds to create sample skeins for a weaving project.
Four Sundays: January 18, 25; February 1, 15, 2026
1 pm – 5 pm
Admission: $395 includes all materials
