OCTOBER PUBLIC ONLINE WORKSHOP WITH NOELA MALETZ
Engaging Creatively with Life’s Contradictions
In our lives, we all too frequently encounter gaps: gaps between our aspirations and our behaviors, our hopes and realities. These contradictions create tensions, which can weigh us down or take us out of the action. This workshop will offer opportunities to reflect on some of these gaps in our lives, and how we live with them. We will explore how we might engage with them kindly and creatively, in order to better do the hard but possible (and necessary) work of holding tensions in ways that “enhance our lives and allow us to enhance the lives of others” (Parker Palmer).
Noela Maletz, MA in Social Sciences, BA in Education, Courage and Renewal Facilitator, was a registered secondary teacher for over 40 years and worked in a broad range of settings, teaching in schools (both State and Waldorf High Schools), and at Universities in South Australia. She has a lifelong interest in her own and others’ unfolding lives. Since 2000, she has had an established private practice in Adelaide as a psychotherapist and supervisor, and since 2013, has facilitated retreats in Thailand, India, New Zealand, and Australia. She is an enthusiastic lifelong learner, and is inspired and awed by the stories of resilience she encounters in her work.
Please bring pen, paper and some colored pencils or crayons.
In order to respect the privacy of our participants, we do not record any of our sessions on zoom. The link will be sent to you the day prior to the workshop to the email that you registered with.
