A weekend workshop for middle school and subject teachers and home schooling parents with Henrike Holdrege and Marisha Plotnik at The Nature Institute
To enliven math teaching in the middle school, we will explore teaching algebra from various view points. When and how to introduce algebra to students? What is the secret of algebraic expressions and equations? What do they tell us about numbers and number relations, about geometric relations, and about relations within our physical world? Participants will also have time for collegial exchange.
