Living In The World House: Chaos and Community

WINTER YOUTH CONFERENCE for 9th-12th Graders

Begins Friday, January 13 at 5:00 PM and ends Monday, January 16 at 12:00 PM

For many, the month of January can be cold, amid school, and far from summer. This conference serves as a break from all those things,(well maybe not the cold). Come be with one another!

Join us for an MLK weekend in DC as we explore the theme of living and sharing the one house that is our earth, what it means to be neighbors, how we live in community and how chaos can both hinder and aid us as we live in the world we share. Together we will enjoy a long weekend packed with conversations, singing, home-cooked meals, fun games, service work, great company, and contemplation. We will gather in conversations as a group as well as in smaller breakouts amongst peers.

This is a great opportunity for high schoolers to meet with the friends they already know from school, camps or other communities and also make new friends.

Participation Cost: $425
All meals, housing, and transportation within the conference are provided. Travel to and from the conference is not included in the participation cost.

For those coming from the Midwest, our plan is to take the following Amtrak trains:

Depart: Thursday, Jan 12th at 6:40 PM from Union Station, Chicago

Arrive: Tuesday, Jan 17th at 8:45 AM at Union Station, Chicago
