WITH LOIS MACAULAY
An Online Course Sponsored by Chicago Program Initiative

We are used to the idea that meditation can only be done in a state of rest, but five eurythmy meditations are offered here, the safest way to approach the spiritual world, meditations in motion, given by Rudolf Steiner.

This seminar is for those who would like to include eurythmy in their daily meditation practice and balance the negative effects of intellectuality in the age of the conscious soul.

Decades of living with these exercises has given Lois Macaulay a unique and detailed picture of them.

When: 5 Saturdays from April 5, 2025, through May 3, 2025
Duration: 5 sessions – 1 hour 15 minutes each session plus Q&A
Sliding Fee: $125 – $150
Single sessions are also available ($25 per session)

All recordings will be available to participants the day after each session.

Session 1: “I Think Speech”

The warm-up exercise used by eurythmists worldwide to attune and prepare to work, comes from mystery school tradition. We’ll uncover those origins, Steiner’s original presentation, the effect on the chakras, and we’ll practice variations.

Session 2: I A O and AUM

Why do therapeutic sessions and eurythmy classes usually begin with I A O? These vowels embody the soul forces – thinking, feeling, willing – and there’s lots more to the picture. The AUM exercise creates a strong protective sheath.

Session 3: Haleluia

This exercise is used to clear the spiritual space. It prepares the room where spiritual activities will be carried out. It stills the mind and releases the feeling life to prepare us for meditation. Haleluia is the eurythmy smudge stick.

Session 4: Vowels on the 5-pointed Star

Another daily exercise for meditation, the five-pointed star, the body’s astral pathway, is traced in space with A E I O U. We’ll add the stories of E and U, liberate the 360 degree awareness, and find some mysteries in the five-pointed star.

Saturday, May 3, 2025
Session 5: Planetary Gestures on the 7-pointed Star

While Steiner reveals the primary planets for eurythmy through colored charts and correlates, with gestures-in-movement for each, he lets us feel and move our way into them. We’ll perform them carefully and share experiences.
