AN ONLINE PRESENTATION BY INES KATHARINA KINCHEN
On August 30th, 2024, at 1:14 in the morning, a 1000-pound meteorite entered the atmosphere at a speed of 31,300 miles per hour. The fireball, lighting up the sky as brightly as day, released energy equivalent to ten tons of TNT (a massive infusion of meteoric iron) during its dramatic disintegration right above eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina… the exact area which less than a month later, two days before Michaelmas, became the epicenter of catastrophe as Hurricane Helene unleashed an estimated 40 trillion gallons of rain into an already saturated region, triggering its worst flood in recorded history.
In this presentation, we will look at the unfolding of events during this natural disaster, from both a physical and spiritual perspective. As life-saving relief efforts are still currently ongoing and thousands of people remain missing, we will provide an update on “boots on the ground” efforts as well as potential long-term implications. Among the rubble of destruction, the veil is thin, and the human spirit prevails.
Ines Katharina Kinchen and her 15-year old son Marquise live in the forest of the mountains of Eastern Tennessee, about 35 minutes north of Asheville. Here, they are tending to 40 acres of sacred land, the Emerald Ark, a biodynamic forest farm and bee sanctuary.
Ines is a former Waldorf teacher. She is currently working as the program coordinator for Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary in Floyd, Virginia, as well as teaching adult education programs within the Emerald Ark School of Resonance Medicine and Earth Healing.
