Now a tradition for 19 years with Walking the Dog Theater and directed by Ted Pugh, David Anderson dramatizes the story and its many characters in a 50-minute solo performance. It’s appropriate for children aged 10 years and up.

The production has received high praises from Bruce Hallenbeck of The Independent, who wrote of Anderson’s performance, “Amazing one-man show. . .what Dickens intended all along!” Marion Hunter of CCScoop.comwrites: “Everything David Anderson touches has two crucial elements: clarity and humanity.”

David Anderson is the Executive Artistic Director of Walking the Dog Theater, which was founded in Australia in 1997 and was very active in Columbia County for many years. About six years ago, he moved full-time to Taiwan, where he lives with his daughter. He now directs plays and creates theater in Asia. The main focus of his work is a 3.5 year part-time course in drama and inner development. He has been offering this course for over 10 years. There are currently 12 course groups in different cities throughout Asia, with over 500 participants in the training.
