Celebrations of a Human-Centered Pedagogy

SPEECHES ON 100 YEARS OF STEINER’S EDUCATION COURSES

The Pedagogical Section and the General Anthroposophical Section are joining forces. At two events, the leaders of the respective Sections will jointly examine Rudolf Steiner’s great courses in education.

These courses by Steiner, which took place during the last three years of his public work (1922-1924), were milestones and in a certain way also «celebrations of a new art of education». They were marked by the future, by light, confidence and élan.

The leaders of the Pedagogical Section, Constanza Kaliks and Philipp Reubke, as well as the leader of the General Anthroposophical Section, Peter Selg, will give impulsive talks on this at the Goetheanum and simultaneously on Zoom. This will be on selected humanistic aspects of the courses (Reubke), on some references to current challenges in pedagogy (Kaliks) and on the context and intentions of Rudolf Steiner (Selg). Afterwards, the three will try to enter into a more in-depth dialogue with the audience.
