The Eurythmy Spring Valley Ensemble is excited to offer at the Threefold community a pivotal moment in the life story of contemporary activist Julia Butterfly Hill.
Julia’s story The Legacy of Luna is a moving example of greatness of spirit, embodying love in action through her heroic deed. Alone, staked out high-up in the tumultuous boughs of thousand-year-old Luna the Redwood tree, twenty-one year old Julia makes a two-year-long stand against the logging industry, illuminating a strength of inner resolve, flaming idealism, and depth of courage that redirects the course of outer events.
“The Storm,” with music by Grigory Smirnov, is surrounded by poetry and music by Cowell, MacLeish, Chopin, and Smirnov, ending with lighthearted pieces and a Dvorak trio.
