ONLINE MICHAELMAS PRESENTATION WITH MARY STEWART ADAMS FOR MEMBERS OF THE ANTHROPOSOPHICAL SOCIETY IN AMERICA
The eclipsed Harvest Moon now waning through the sky as we approach the balance of the season at equinox adds an air of drama to this year’s Michaelmas, and the 100th anniversary of Rudolf Steiner’s Last Address.
On 28 September in 1924, Rudolf Steiner described that to find the right starting point for a Michael Festival, we must give ourselves up to thoughts that prepare the way for the future. He then proceeded to reference the karma and reincarnation lectures he had been offering throughout the year, to awaken the sense that when we turn our gaze upon all that takes place on earth and in supersensible worlds through long periods of time, it is possible to realize how we are connected with this age of Michael, specifically through the karma of the Anthroposophical Society.
To further demonstrate the workings of the Michael stream, Rudolf Steiner spoke to the necessity of our finding the link between successive incarnations. What followed next is well known and often studied, and included his description of the journey of the soul through the planetary spheres and starry worlds. From here, we take inspiration for this preparatory work.
