The Four Elements and the Consonants, and a Poem for the Dead
AN ONLINE EURYTHMY WEBINAR WITH CYNTHIA HOVEN
Following the vigorous season of Michaelmas comes the triad of festivals marking Halloween, All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, which introduce the month of Death. The soberness will not be broken until Advent, the four weeks before Christmas in which we feel stirrings of anticipation.
In eurythmy (and in the Thursday lectures) we will consider the 4 elements and how the sculptural forces expressed in language have shaped spirit into matter. This will lead us to understand the Earth, Water, Air and Fire consonants.
In commemoration of the festival of All Souls, we will also work with a beautiful eurythmy poem which speaks of the journey after death, in which we are released step by step from matter until our essence is revealed in pure fire.

All classes are offered freely, but you are encouraged to participate in our energy exchange. In acknowledgement of the widely varying financial situations of all people, there is no fixed price for this work, but we suggest a donation of $10-$50 for each eurythmy webinar or $40-$200 per series.
