Debbie Spitulnik and Laura Embrey-Stone join forces once again, this time to bring us a fresh experience of the moods of soul associated with the zodiac constellations. Debbie will guide us deeply into and through the beautiful verses offered by Rudolf Steiner for each constellation via Creative Speech Formation, and Laura will show us the architecture of the influences of the constellations through Form Drawing. Both art forms not only help the human being fill the soul with energy and enthusiasm, they develop one’s ability to communicate this light and life to fellow beings on our common journey. Creative Speech work and Form Drawing combine powerfully in this course to strengthen the participant’s own forces for transforming, transmuting, and healing the spirit, soul and bodily natures.

Join us and forge a path of communication with beings of the hierarchies through the Source of all being, expanding our consciousness to the zodiac and bringing back a deepened understanding of the wisdom that lives there. Learn to breathe with the cosmos and experience the alternation of tension and relaxation through the conscious practice of speech and movement of the line.

Debbie Spitulnik is an adjunct professor of Creative Speech at Antioch University New England, and faculty member for the Center for Anthroposophy. As the founding member of The Art of Speech Collective, she leads courses and trainings in Pedagogical Creative Speech and Drama. Debbie has led the development of pedagogical speech and believes that Creative Speech brings healing and nourishment to the soul and empowers the voice. She infuses all her classes with three decades of her unique experiences as a class teacher, subject teacher, and speech teacher. She teaches speech, drama, storytelling, and curriculum to teachers nationwide.
She holds Goetheanum Diploma in the arts of Speech and Drama, PerformInternational; M.Ed., Waldorf Education, Antioch University New England; B.S. Elementary and Special Education, Syracuse University.

Laura Embrey-Stine has been deeply interested in form drawing since the beginning of her career as a Waldorf teacher. Laura’s fascination with the beauty, power and efficacy of the forms has only increased over time. She has been a teacher for forty years, in both public and private Waldorf schools. She has recently retired from her position as Pedagogical Chair at Camellia Waldorf School in Sacramento, California, partly in order to bring her new discoveries regarding the meaning of and ways of working with the forms to others.
Laura has her B.A. in English from the University of California at Berkeley, her M.A. in Education from the University of California at Berkeley, her California Teaching Credential through the Bay Area Writing Project at U.C.Berkeley, and her Waldorf Teacher Certification from Rudolf Steiner College in Sacramento, California. She brings over 40 years of teaching experience to her work, as well as over 30 years of consistent study of anthroposophy and ten years of spiritual investigation.
