Harmonious Community Life in Christ

A VERMONT RETREAT WITH REV. CAROL KELLY

Rev. Kelly will begin this three-day retreat with a Friday evening talk “Toward Community: Learning to Trust Ourselves and Each Other.” How can we acquire the capacities needed to rise up out of our “normal” way of being to a higher plane? What happens when a group of people all decide, even for an hour of conversation, to “raise the bar” and allow the Spirit to flow through them?

On Saturday, we will share in song, conversation, eurythmy, communal meals, and community building biography exercises, as we take up the questions: What makes a Community living and vibrant? Is there a guiding Community force or being that members can nurture and be nurtured by? The Consciousness Soul – what does that mean in Community life? What can we learn from encounters with the other? The day will end with a Close of Day Service.

On Sunday Rev. Kelly will offer “The Consecration of the Human Being,” followed by a potluck lunch and short talk on “the Resurrection Forces of Easter.”

Hosted by the Vermont affiliate of The Christian Community. All are welcome!

Registration and Cost: Fees cover the cost of three meals and a contribution to The Christian
Community of Hillsdale NY, where Rev. Kelly serves as priest. Fees are based upon ability to pay.
Recommended contributions are:
Friday talk only – $10-20
Fri/Saturday (full workshop), including 3 meals – $75-125
Sunday – Free Will offering
