Identity, Selfhood, Self-Actualization – the terms are not easy to pin down. Identity – is that a matter of belonging to a group, or the path for becoming myself? Is it just a simple marker of sameness, or the key that unlocks human evolution from “mere survival”?

From battlefields of the “culture wars” to the highest esoteric understanding of the “I AM”, we will review and give context to Rudolf Steiner’s research and the human path forward, from understanding identity to shaping a healthy global culture.

John Beck is a writer and strategic communications consultant whose career has included leadership of public media in Boston and New York, corporate communications technology, managing a major holistic learning center, and founding and editing “being human” magazine for the Anthroposophical Society in America from 2009-2023.
