CULTIVATING ATTENTION AND ATTENDING TO CULTIVATION
WITH RYAN SHEA AND ERIN CORRIGAN
Join the 3rd M.C. Richards Cohort and staff for the afternoon intensive, exploring the waking spring through contemplative inquiry, readings, gardening, and pollinator corridor planting in collaboration with our local library.
Our course seeks first to cultivate attention through creative reading and writing, focused on bringing us into more intimate engagement with the plant world. Our guides will be illuminating and poetic writers, such as Robin Wall Kimmerer, Wendell Berry, Henry David Thoreau, and Mary Oliver. We will sprout seedlings for our local library as part of pollinator garden project, work in these gardens, and on the Free Columbia community garden plot.
