WITH NOELA MALETZ AT CENTER FOR BIOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL ART
Sunday, October 9, 2022
7:00 – 9:00pm Eastern Time
Mary Oliver, who knew a great deal about awe and mystery and wonder, instructs:
“keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable.”
And yet … how often in the hurly burly of our daily lives, do we turn to wonder and experience what it holds for us: unification (one- der), generosity, generativity.
To experience wonder and awe, we must make ourselves more available to both of these things, we must set the table for the light to come in.
Rumi reminds us that we often: “seek outside the wonders we carry inside us.” Let us spend some time exploring the possibility and necessity of mystery in our lives, using our own and other’s life experiences, and
… to be willing
To be dazzled
To cast aside the weight of facts
And maybe even
To float a little
Above this difficult world.
(Except from The Ponds, by Mary Oliver)
The cost for each workshop is at a sliding scale of $25.00 – $75.00
