Between completing a BFA and MA in his hometown of Detroit, Patrick did a four year sculptural arts training and teaching internship at Emerson College, England. He has resided in Columbia County since 1987 while teaching at Hawthorne Valley School and guest teaching and mentoring at numerous other high schools and adult training cen-ters across North America. Subject areas have included sculpture, drawing, history of art and architecture, aesthetics, anthroposophy, and Waldorf pedagogy. He is a found-ing, core faculty member of the Alkion Center at Hawthorne Valley, and has been an adjunct instructor/mentor at the Center for Anthroposophy and Antioch University New England in New Hampshire for over 30 years. The primary mediums for his own art-work are terra-cotta, woodcarving, carved and cast stone, concrete, and charcoal drawing. His sculptures and graphics have been exhibited and/or commissioned in Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, California, Sweden, and England.
