The goal of this course is to explore the ways in which Waldorf Early Childhood classes can be more inclusive and to inspire teachers to create new circles and stories for their classroom that reflect this work in a way that is appropriate for the young child.
Course participants will:
- Get in touch with our own cultural stories
- Deepen our capacity to reflect on our own lives and ways in which we may need greater self-consciousness in order to serve a more diverse group of children and families
- Practice objective observation of social interactions
- Recognize emerging social themes, gestures and archetypes
- Strengthen our capacity to work implicitly with powerful impact
- Learn the basic techniques and tools for creating therapeutic stories
- Remember to cultivate joy while bringing important social lessons to the children
